SHOAOLLAH AMINIAN

With heavy hearts, we announce Baba Shoa’s passing on August 6, 2019 at the age of 98.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Fakhri; sons, Hesam and Hooman; daughters-in-law, Anahita and Karen; grandchildren, Parsa (Nicole) and Tess (Josh); as well as sister, Rohanieh; brothers Rezvan and Jalal; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless others who just liked him for who he was and how he brightened their day.

Shoa was truly loved by many for his easy-going attitude, love of life, and ability to find the humour in, and joke about almost any situation. His understanding of simple living, his low expectation, virtually absent sense entitlement and the uncanny ability to enjoy simple things in life were lessons to all who knew him. His earthy and unpretentious outlook combined with his happy-go-lucky ways and silly humour made him a favourite in any crowd.

This universal common affection for him will go a long way in giving comfort and solace to those closest to him.

Baba Shoa will be fondly missed.

An Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba

A celebration of his life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Victoria Inn Convention Centre, 1808 Wellington Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In lieu of flowers or food items, donations can be made to the Alzheimer and dementia organization of your choice.
