It is with heavy hearts as we announce the passing of our dearest, courageous and fighter Mom, on December 24, 2020 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 71. God has gained another angel in heaven today.

Erlinda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eduardo Singson Amoyo; her parents, Bartolome Sr. and Julieta; sisters, Clarita and Carmelita; and brothers, Bartolome Jr., Donato, Arturo, George and Philip.

Erlinda leaves to cherish all her memories, her children, Lynette and Randy (Analie); sister, Katherine; and brother, Joseph; as well as her two grandchildren, Lance and Jewel. Plus all her nieces, nephews, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and all family and friends in the Philippines, Canada, and USA.

Erlinda immigrated to Winnipeg in 1993 where she started a new life with her children after the death of her husband. She worked at McDonalds Restaurant as a crew while taking courses to upgrade her skills. And finally, was hired at the Winnipeg Free Press where she worked for 23 wonderful years.

Erlinda loves to do a lot of things like cooking, sewing, traveling, exploring foods, watching her favourite tv shows and solving sudoku puzzles. Most of all, she loves to smile and help in any way she can. Her contagious smiles, humour and her patience will be sorely missed by all.

Our family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital, HSC and Seven Oaks Hospital for the care they had given to our Mom.

At the request of our Mom, cremation has taken place and due to restrictions, memorial celebration will be announced in the future.

“Eternal rest grant unto you, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon you, and may your soul rest in peace. Amen”
