JUDITH MARGARET SANDERSON ANDREWS

In her beginning, there was Saskatchewan. Eldest of three, her parents, Douglas and Margaret, brother Johnny and Roderick and a dog named Skippy. Stories of her early life and family on the farm was truly a happy place that Judy loved.

Around 1957, she met a young man. The pair caught each other’s eye, and over meetings, letters and years,  love happened. Judy and Sheldon married in July of 1966, which led to two daughters, Margaret and Pat. Mom and Dad were together for fifty-one years. They spent their life in Winnipeg on the same street in the same house. Grandparents of four, Jesse, Rorie, Patrick, Brian and great-grandchild, Kaleb. Margret’s husband Kevin, Pat’s husband Joe and granddog Sam, who visited her often.

It’s difficult... pen to paper, summing up a lady's life. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, but most of all: friend. Her love of community and charity. She especially loved her grandchildren. There was not a thing that she wouldn’t do for those children.

Mom’s green thumb, her love of nature and anything that wagged a tail, but it was her culinary "prowess" that was legendary amongst the family. Her books and love of poetry. Always volunteering. Her days in the church choir, and if her girls misbehaved, "the look" we would get. The family car trips to her home in Chitek, 12 hours of “Are we there yet?”. Still, don’t know how our folks pulled that off. When we went through the photos ( Dad, Margaret and Pat ) it was a life with plenty of love.

At the end, mom passed peacefully. Margaret and Kevin took her home to rest in Penn, Saskatchewan. She will be missed and always loved.
