James Beyak

February 20, 1953 - December 27, 2017

JAMES WILLIAM BEYAK

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of James William Beyak on December 27, 2017, at the age of sixty-four.

Jim, as he was known, is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughters Jaime (Jorge), and Kristyn (Sean); grandchildren Jaidyn, Carsyn, Londyn, and Papa’s baby Taya. He is also survived by his parents, Boris and Marie Beyak of Port Coquitlam, B.C.; sisters Joyce (Dennis) of Cranbrook, B.C., Janet (Keith) of Maple Ridge, B.C., and, and his brother Jeffrey of Pitt Meadows, B.C. along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and his uncle Jim Tonn of Surrey, B.C.

Jim was born on February 20, 1953 in Emo, Ontario. He grew up in Transcona and upon graduating from Transcona Collegiate started his career at CNR. He enjoyed his work and made many friends along the way. He retired in 2008 and spent many Sundays scanning the flyers for his weekly grocery shopping trips. He loved his grand-dogs Ozzy, Eva, and beloved Zoey. When needed he would go feed them, let them outside, and sit with them so they were not alone for a long period of time and, on occasions, took them to the vet.

He was the one person we could count on to help us when needed.

Jim enjoyed camping, doing crossword puzzles, traveling in his motor home, spending time at the Big K and spending time with his girls, grandchildren, family, and friends. He also liked telling jokes and coming out with one-liners that made people laugh.

At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.

We will miss you always.

Love you forever Sweetheart.
