Andrew Brisbois

April 22, 1942 - July 24, 2017

ANDREW BRISBOIS

It is with great sadness that we announce Andrew’s sudden passing on July 24, 2017 at the age of 75.

Andrew will be livingly remembered by his six children; Valerie Wilson (Dwayne), Carmela Brisbois (Steven), Patricia Stampe (Paul), Sharlene Brisbois, Tim Brisbois (Aime), and Matt Brisbois; seventeen grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers George, Lawrence, Joseph, Gerald and David, close cousin Joanne; and ex-wife Teresa. Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Killien and Annice Brisbois (Mills); brother August Brisbois; and close cousins Raymond and George Mills.

Andrew was born in Antler, Saskatchewan in 1942 and raised on the family farm in the area. Andrew married Teresa Culbertson on September 18, 1965. They raised their six children and many foster children in Winnipeg and Landmark, Manitoba. Andrew worked as a blacksmith with Manitoba Auto Spring Works for 36 years. After Andrew retired, he spent his remaining years living in Landmark and Ile des Chenes, Manitoba. Thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and care in the final days of Andrew’s life. We take comfort that he is no longer in pain and is now reunited with loved ones in heaven.

Graveside funeral services to be held at a later date in Redvers, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in CancerCare Manitoba.
