DENNIS DAVID JOSEPH BRUNEAU
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dennis Bruneau announce his peaceful passing on the morning of Friday, November 13, 2020, after a 3-year battle with prostate cancer. He will be dearly missed by his siblings, Norman (Michelle), Annette, Shelley (Dean), Julie, and Kelly (Susan); his many nieces and nephews, and their families; his children; his wife, Vanessa; and the many friends that he had made throughout his life.
Dennis found a special place in West St Paul, in the home he built together with his wife, a home where he was surrounded by love, peace and contentment. He could always be found building something in the yard or fixing something in his garage. With the many skills he picked up during his time working for the City of Winnipeg, Dennis was always willing to pass on his knowledge and experience to help family and friends. Whether it be sharpening chainsaw chains, landscaping, or fixing anything motorized, Dennis found enjoyment in helping others. Though, what brought Dennis the most happiness was spending time with his children. He spent many hours at the rink and at the ball diamond, watching his kids’ activities. The smiles on their faces always put a smile on Dennis’. The hours of home renovations that he helped Nick complete were some of the most satisfying father-son moments that he experienced.
Dennis may no longer be with us, but has touched all of our lives and will live on in our memories.
A special thanks to ALL staff on 3 East – Palliative Care Unit, at Riverview Health Centre. You made his final weeks as comfortable as possible, surrounding Dennis with friendly, caring faces.
