Doug Burns

May 20, 1955 - July 25, 2020

DOUGLAS FINDLAY BURNS

Douglas Findlay Burns passed, on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Doug was born in Barrie, Ontario and planned to move to Saskatoon in the 1990's. On his way he decided to stop in Winnipeg instead and there he remained.

Doug's education and interest was in the field of electronics. He also enjoyed learning about health and vitamins, and he loved music ... Jimi Hendrix and Dire Straights being some of his favourites.
In 2017, he began volunteering in the clothing room at Red Road Lodge, a transitional housing complex in the former Occidental Hotel on Main St.

Thank You to the people around Doug who helped him out before and during his time in the hospital.
Doug's ashes will be spread in a place that held fond memories for him.

Safe travels Doug ... "Dream Away"... "Ride Across the River"..
