BEATRICE CHARTRAND

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beatrice Chartrand on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Oakview Place Extendicare.

Beatrice is survived by her children, Elaine (Doug) Maytwayashing, Harold Geekie, Susan (Jeff) Loeppky, and Michael Smith. Beatrice will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Stephanie, Yolanda, Jason, Edward, Vanessa, Cassadra, Tyler, and Ashley.

Beatrice was predeceased by her loving spouse, Wayne; children Jimmy, Nelson, and Bernice; parents John and Katherine; siblings Christine, Stella, Doris, John, Ernie, Fabian, Adlor, Audrey, Mary, Raymond, Rita, and Annette.

Beatrice was the eldest of 13 children born to John and Katherine Chartrand on March 20, 1932.  She met the love of her life Wayne Smith in 1968 and they were together for 34 years before his passing.

Beatrice's home was always filled with pictures of her family and she loved to brag about each and every one of them. Beatrice was a kind and loving soul. She was the rock to which so many depended on and the thread that held her family together.

Friends and relatives are encouraged to share stories, and condolences for the family using the comment section to the right.

A special thank you to Dave Stubbert and family for always being there for Beatrice. Also, the family would like to give thanks to all the staff at Oakview Place Extendicare, for taking care of “Queen B”.
