ELAINE CHOMIAK

With great sadness we announce the passing of Elaine Chomiak. Elaine passed away peacefully at the age of 58 years at the Concordia Hospital on Saturday, December 22, 2018.

Elaine was born in Winnipeg on March 10, 1960 and is predeceased by her parents Leon and Evelyn Chomiak.

She is survived by her beloved husband Jack; son Michael (Sue); sisters Leona and Anne; nieces Trish (Bryan), Melissa (Steve), and Janice (Ali); nephews Riley and Cody; and granddaughter Taelyr.

Elaine is fondly remembered by her family and friends for her bubbly, outgoing personality and her unique sense of humour. She had an infectious laugh that could make everyone around her smile. Her bright personality was complimented by her youthful appearance and a quirky and fun sense of style.  Elaine was a people person and her personality naturally drew people to her wherever she went.

Her love of the Winnipeg Jets was well known to all those who knew her, and she supported them right until the very end. She also had a great love of music and wasn’t shy about singing out loud, loving to sing freely when her favourite songs were playing.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Elaine’s dear friend Lisa for the kindness and care given to Elaine.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service at this time. Interment of her ashes will take place at Brookside Cemetery in the future.
