KEVIN WILLIAM DONOVAN

1960 - 2015

Peacefully, on November 29, 2015, Kevin Donovan, the beloved husband of Susan, passed away at the at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 55 years.

He is survived by two sons Cody (Danielle) Donovan and Tyler (Allison) Donovan; two daughters Tara Donovan and Corrinne (Carl) Lischynski; sister Chris (Jim) Douglas.; seven grandchildren Amber, Jody, Chad, Samantha, Kacey, Kayden and Hunter; four great-grandchildren Santana, Karma, Sophia and Jaydin; niece Lee-Anna (Clint) Cramm and their children, nephew David (Jennifer) and their children; aunts and numberous cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Gweneth Donovan and brothers Patrick and Timothy Donovan.

Kevin was one of the nicest, hardest-working and most genuine people a person could find. He was a kind and loving man who had a great sense of humor and was always willing to give a handshake or a hug.  He was also more than capable of giving a bit of an ass-kicking when the need arose.  He was a true fighter that people always looked up to,  a proud father and a loving husband.

In his early years, before his health problems, Kevin loved working and he always gave a maximum effort in his job.  Providing a stable life for his family was his greatest source of pride. After his health issues forced him to quit working, Kevin loved spending time fishing at the docks in Selkirk.  Although he often caught few fish he still loved the time spent with family and friends. At home, Kevin and Susan enjoyed competing to see who could beat the other at Facebook games.

Kevin was always over-joyed whenever he got the chance to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Although he did not get the chance to meet Samantha who is currently battling cancer in BC, he often thought about her and enjoyed seeing updates on her progress.

Kevin will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Kevin's life will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 603 Wellington Crescent.
