Bob Frobisher

May 13, 1949 – July 8, 2020

ROBERT "BOB" FROBISHER

It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Bob on July 8, 2020 at the age of 71 years. He was predeceased by his parents Emile and Josephine and his sister Bonnie.

He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, his children Tracy (Dale), and Kevin (Justyna), his stepchildren Teresa (Shawn), Ken (Jenn), Chris (Heather), and Kacee, as well as 15 grandchildren, Brendan, Aaron, Skylar, Emilee, Brea, Juliana, Jane, Ben, Kate, Allison, Mac, Paige, Madison, Easton, and Paiton. He is survived by his sisters, Claire, Judy (Rick), Jeanette, and Tina (Darryl), and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Bob worked for Winnipeg Transit for 27 years as a bus driver and “retired” to Beaver Bus Lines, where he spent another 13 years driving tour buses all over North America.

Bob was a happy and fun-loving man, with an excellent sense of humor, and was a dedicated husband, father, stepfather, and Papa. Bob and Margaret had a marriage that exemplified relationship goals, and a shared love of the outdoors, travelling, and family. Whether exploring Manitoba on their many long drives or watching their favorite tv shows, they were happiest together.

Bob was immensely proud of his children and cherished the childhood memories he held of them and the adults they became. He was a steady and loving father figure in his children's and stepchildren’s lives, and they adored him in turn. Bob’s greatest role in life was that of Papa. He loved to tease, especially his grandchildren, offering them his favourite “whoopins” and "knuckle sandwiches" while sharing his skills in things like karate chops and making spitballs. He was also one of the most stubborn people you could ever come across! He was deeply loved by those close to him and liked by all who met him. He will be greatly missed.
