RICHARD MARCOUX

October 1, 1940 - September 12, 2016

 

Richard Marcoux passed away on September 12, 2016 at the age of 75 years.

 

Richard is survived by his 2 daughters Lori Marcoux (Phil) and Nicole Kinsman (Dave); grandchildren Kelsi and Cameron Kinsman; brother Harvey and sister Patricia; niece Anita (Randy) and nephew Hendrick (Joe). He was predeceased by his father Joe and his mother Rose; sisters Gloria and Grace; brother Allen as well as half-sisters Leoncia, Suzanne and Julienne. 

 

Richard was passionate about teaching, coaching and enlightening others. He had an extraordinary appreciation for history, music and the arts. He loved all living creatures. In his earlier days Richard enjoyed ice hockey, cross country and downhill skiing, rollerblading and hiking. His spirituality and strong sense of personal values are what he used as his guide throughout his life to his peaceful passing.

 

Those who wish to be present are welcome to join us Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 9:30 am for his interment at Paroisse Notre Dame de Lorette in Lorrette, Manitoba.  Those who wish to connect with family and friends the day following Richard's interment on Tuesday are invited to join us for an intimate gathering Wednesday, September 21, 2016 between 6 pm and 8 pm at the Four Points by Sheraton Winnipeg South in the Broadway Lounge. Today being what would have been Richard Marcoux's birthday, we ask that everyone take a moment to think of Richard and a life well lived, to celebrate today as a particularly special and significant day on the calendar.

Having had a Celebration of Life for Richard Marcoux September 21, 2016, in lieu of hosting another Celebration of Life Oct 14, 2016 for Richard Marcoux: Richard's daughters, Lori Marcoux and Nicole Kinsman, ask that you make a donation in Richard Marcoux's memory to the cancer society of your choosing - a birthday gift if you will. Donations may be made at: www.care.mb.ca or www.cancer.ca Thank you for contributing toward a worthy cause.
