ELIZABETH CAMPBELL (MARTIN)

Elizabeth Campbell (Martin) April 21, 1944 - November 28, 2017. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, nanny, wife and friend. Elizabeth passed away peacefully in her home with family at her side.

Elizabeth and Jim, husband for 49 years, immigrated to Canada from Northern Ireland in 1975 with their 3 children. She worked at St. Charles Country Club for more than 25 years where she made many dear friends. She enjoyed playing golf with a ladies group called the Iron Maidens. Elizabeth loved to travel and her favorite place was always by the sea.

Elizabeth will be missed dearly by Jim and their children Jim (Karyl), Bill (Paula), Elizabeth (Kevin) and her 6 grandchildren Colin, Breanne, Nicholas, Shannon, Katherine and Nolan.

In 2015, Elizabeth remarried Jack Martin from Ireland, they spent the last few years enjoying their home in Spain. She has many nieces and nephews around the world that will also miss her dearly.

For anyone that knew Elizabeth, she was always full of mischief, always found a reason to laugh and found the silver lining in any obstacle that lay ahead of her. She lived life to the fullest and can be remembered by her advice to always “Go for it”.

A cremation has already taken place. Her ashes will be spread in the ocean, and alongside the graves of her mother (Elizabeth Baxter), father (William Baxter), brother (Billy Baxter), sister (Vera Martin) and Beanie Campbell in Ireland.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Westwood Presbyterian Church, Winnipeg, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba
