ELIETTE NICOLAS

Peacefully on May 29, 2017, Eliette Nicolas, (née Lussier) surrendered herself to our Lord's  arms. Eliette, cheri, ma, mémere was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond, her grandson Michael and her‎ brother Edese Lussier. She is survived by her sisters Dolaine and Lisele; her 4 sons Léonard (Linda), Daniel (Sonya), Paul (Audrey), Ronald (Rose); her grandchildren Marc, Matthieu ; David, Allison, Theresa; Dustin, Brittany, Bryana ; Julie, Chantal.

 

Born in 1929,  in Treherne MB, to parents Hervé and Léda Lussier, she attended school in Mariapolis and Bruxelles. As a child, teenager she loved to play, sing, dance, write, act, and paint. 

 

Teacher (St. Eustache), wife, mother, from Private to Lieutenant (1962-1966)  in the Army Militia 18 Medical Coy,  Minto Armouries, then nurse at Taché Hospital for 15 years, world traveller, avid reader, artist‎ , classics movie watcher, she cared for everyone around her. She surrounded herself with all types of music and would sing along with her favorite singers. Always the first one to get up and dance at social events, she would encourage others to join in and enjoy. She was fond of her caregivers at St. Norbert Personal Care Home, then at the Victoria General Hospital, respecting the work they did in making her last years and days comfortable.

 

Mass and memorial service will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday June 13th , , at the Sainte-Famille/Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the St. Norbert Personal Care Home- Resident Fund , the Victoria General Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
