After a long struggle to recover from a stroke, Hope Oretsky passed away at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at the age of 69.

Hope was predeceased by her parents Henry and Mary Oretsky and her sister Darlene Abuda. She will be lovingly remembered by her long-time partner and friend-to-the-end, Bill Harlos; brother-in-law Robert Abuda; as well as close friends and extended family. Hope will also be greatly missed by her first cousin Grant, his wife Sylviane, and their son, Israel.

Hope was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and remained in the same neighbourhood since childhood. She loved walking, music, going for coffee, a good long chat and shopping for clothes and accessories. She was very fashionable and was applying her mascara up until her last day in hospital. Everyone loved her long strawberry blonde hair and she is fondly remembered for having a great big heart!
