Cornelius "Neil" Peters

November 5, 1942 - September 2, 2017

CORNELIUS "NEIL" PETERS

A celebration of Neil's life will be held at Cabane à Sucre, 432 Joubert Street, St.Pierre- Jolys, MB on Friday Sept 22, 2017 It will be a come and go starting at 2 pm.

Neil passed away peacefully at Saint Boniface Hospital on September 2, 2017 with his son Michael and brother Ed by his side. He will be sadly missed by daughter Lisa,(Kevin), grand daughters Kayla and Alexa, son Michael, grand children Macy and Matthew and Anita (mother of his children). Also his Sister Anne (Irvin), brother Ed (Brenda), many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and special friends Shirley and Pat.

He absolutely cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Neil loved going on driving adventures and would sometimes end up in the country, trekking through snow drifts and even chasing storms. He absolutely loved the outdoors and was very adventurous.

He loved to travel far and wide, from camping in the jungles of Costa Rica to the mountains of Sierra Madres, Mexico.

He took his children camping since they were babies and showed them everything to know about the outdoors; flipping canoes, fishing and survival skills.

Neil loved restaurants and knew where the best breakfasts, pies, cinnamon buns and perogies were. You name it, he knew where to go for a variety of tasty foods in Manitoba.
Neil affected many people's lives and had an abundance of friends. His wit and humour will be talked about forever.

He enjoyed a long career as a produce manager at Safeway. He then had a successful 30 year business in real estate, being one of the most loved and trusted  Realtors in Winnipeg.

A sincere thank you to the Saint Boniface hospital staff for the loving care they provided and all of our family and friends for their loving support. A special thank you to Uncle Ed for being by our side for Dad's final journey. Also to his dearest friends Shona, John, Catherine, Don, Al and many more. We apologize if we haven't mentioned everyone (too many) for their love and friendship.
