Roy Richardson

July 3, 1943 - January 8, 2018

On January 8, 2018, at 2;00 PM at the Health Science Centre, we lost a truly gentle and caring man. Roy passed away peacefully with his wife, Anne, and his children, Tricia and Ryan, by his side.

Dad would say that the best thing that ever happened to him was meeting the love of his life. He  and Anne married in August 1969 and shared over 48 beautiful years together. They were truly each other's source of strength and happiness. Although discrete  and modest  in his  admiration for mom, there was never any doubt that in our dads opinion, mom was an incomparably  perfect mother and life companion.

Our dad was always there for us, with his wisdom and gentle guidance  to life's many challenges. He was a caring, gentle soul who was very protective of his family and always made us feel safe and loved. He is and always will be missed.

Roy will be met in Heaven by both his parents, Phil and Anne, brother Donny, and his first daughter. Left behind are Ken and Shirley, Dave and Lynne, Barb, Phyllis and Doug, and Barry.

His in-laws, Mary and Carl Solotky, Rose and Peter Nechwediuk, Ernest Citulski are all deceased. Survived  by Jean Citulski, Muriel and Peter Solonyczny, and his nieces, Sylvia and Blake, Michel, Debbie and Kevin, Audrey and Jeffrey, Donna and Steve, Darcy and all their children.

We thank Shane and Lauren from Integrity Death Care for their help and caring words.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at St. Nicholas Church, 737 Bannerman avenue on Saturday, April 21, at  11 AM with father Isador officiating. Lunch to follow.
