Steven Rogers

Steven (Sam) Andrew Rogers

On Saturday, December 12, 2020, Steven Rogers, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 43 years.

Steve was born in Victoria, BC and was predeceased by his father Robert. He is survived by his children Hailey, Jesse and Natalie, his mother, Katherine (Elliott), his sister, Shannon (husband, Ian) and his nephews, Joshua, Elliott and Alexander.

Steve grew up in Port Renfrew, BC. In 2003, when he was 25, he moved to Winnipeg, MB.

Steve was one of a kind, full of life and always on the move. He grew up moments away from the ocean and had a serious passion for surfing. He was always able to befriend all different groups of people because of his extremely easy-going nature. He was the type of guy that would give you the shirt right off his back, no questions asked. Music was a huge part of Steve’s life. Wherever he went there was always Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains or Godsmack playing as loud as possible. He was an excellent musician – it just seemed to come naturally to him. He played the drums, taught himself how to play guitar and was in multiple bands throughout his life. He was also into extreme sports, like motocross and skateboarding. He loved animals, all of them. He would rescue any animal in distress and bring them home.

In 2014, he started a successful roofing company. His company was his pride and joy and he put everything he had into it. He enjoyed the physical labour, the extreme heat and the long hours.

He loved his family, his kids, and his friends more than anything in the world.

Cremation has taken place. No formal services will be held.
