Missing their Nana are great-grandchildren; Brenna and Brody Smith, Olivia and Cohen Cook, Cali and Myles O'Neill and Greyson Kooistra. Mom is also survived by her siblings; Anne Flores, Helen (Bill) Remple, sister-in-laws; Audrey, Eva, Anne, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Mom was a beautiful lady inside and out. She was strong, and a proud Christian who loved her independence and freedom to be who she was. She kept busy with cooking, baking and she loved visits from her family. We never went home without a goody bag of baking. She really enjoyed going for coffee or lunch with Eileen, Helen, Agnes and Ida. She kept us entertained with her lively spirit, quick wit, sassy sense of humour and many life stories. She was full of energy, fun and never gave up on life. Peacefully on Sunday morning she fell asleep and left us to be with the God she loved and the many loved ones that were waiting to greet her with open arms. She was so precious to us, loved by so many and will be forever missed.
We are thankful that Mom never suffered, and would like to thank all the special doctors and health care providers; especially the Palliative Care team who went above and beyond to help and care for Mom with respect and dignity these last few months.
In accordance with Mom's wishes, a private family service was held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
