February 17, 1954 - November 30, 2020
LLOYD ALLAN THOMAS
Lloyd fought a long hard battle but passed away peacefully from complications from his addiction, at the age of 66 years, on November 30, 2020. He is survived by his son, Keaton Thomas; sister, Lynn Kustra (Edmonton); and his brother, Brian Thomas (Vancouver).
Lloyd was an accomplished professional accountant and partner with Price Waterhouse Coopers for his entire career. He excelled in many sports, including hockey, soccer, and billiards. He loved the outdoors and was happiest when travelling, scuba diving, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed many friendships through the Manitoba Club and volunteering on numerous boards, including the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Lloyd will be remembered for his sense of humour, his quick wit, and sharp mind, especially at the bridge table.
Special thanks to the Parkway Retirement Center and Beacon Hill Lodge staff.
Friends and relatives are encouraged to share stories and condolences for the family by commenting in the comment section.
Lloyd had recently placed his faith in the Lord. He left this earth while scripture describing heaven was being read to him.
Cremation has taken place. At Lloyd’s request, when it is safe to do so, his ashes will be spread at his favourite fishing spot at Sasaginnigak Lake in northern Manitoba. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. In Lloyd’s memory, donations may be sent to Duck's Unlimited or Alcoholics Anonymous.
