It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Mary on November 8, 2017 at the age of 84.

Mary is survived by daughters Tammy (Ken Walker), Tracey (Gary Jaworski) and Jackie (Peter Lorenz). Also left to mourn are grandchildren Derek (Lindsay), Carisa (Brian), Terri (Tony), David, Cory (Stephanie), Stephanie (David), Zoe, Owen and Eric. Great grandchildren Sophia, Isabella, Simon, Elijah and Wyatt. Mom is also survived by siblings Margaret Sawatzky, Ben Schultz (Audrey), Anne (Frank Flores), Helen (Bill Rempel), sisters in law Anne Schultz and Eva Schultz as well as many, many nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn are members of Dad’s family John Troschuk (Vi), Sonia Chernecki, Stella Troschuk, Tony Fuz and even more nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Walter, brothers Aaron and his wife Mary, Frank, Peter and wife Nellie, John and his wife Nellie, Jack as well as her brother in law George Sawatzky. From Dad’s family, she was predeceased by brothers and sisters in law Mike, Anne and Roy, Peter and Mary, Bill and Ellen, Mary and Metro, Dorothy and Vivian.

At Mom’s request, a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday November 25 from 3:30 – 5:30 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg, 603 Wellington Crescent.  We will share some stories and enjoy some coffee and other refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation (Grace Hospice) @ 204-837-0375. They treated Mom with dignity, respect and always ensured her comfort. We’re extremely grateful Mom was able to spend her final months with such wonderful people.
