It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my dear wife, Sharon, peacefully at my side on March 17, 2021.
Sharon was born and raised in the idyllic town of Minnedosa. She moved to Winnipeg to attend college.
Sharon worked in the photo industry, where we met and fell in love. We were married on June 23, 1984. Sharon was not only my wife, but my partner in business and in life. We worked together a lot and she offered tremendous support to the various projects we took on. We were a great team.
Sharon loved to travel. We were fortunate to have travelled to Spain, Italy, Venezuela, USA and Mexico. Puerto Vallarta had a special place in her heart.
Sharon overcame many hardships. She lost her mother, Emma, at the tender age of 22 and her father, Norman, at 33. She survived a brain aneurysm on Sept, 2000. She was the last of her family to pass away, losing her sisters Donna and Darlene, and her brother Weldon. Her passing is not related to Covid-19.
Sharon leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews, their children and spouses and cousins, as well as so many friends that she made throughout her life.
Sharon had a quick wit and always looked for ways to make you laugh. We will remember her infectious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She brightened the lives of those she knew and loved. She was small in stature but big in personality and strength. We are all so fortune to have had her in our lives.
Thank you to the wonderful and compassionate care to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital.
There will be a celebration of her life at a later point when there are fewer restrictions.
